Are you open year-round?
Yes, we are open the whole year, excluding weekends, statutory holidays and our Christmas Break.
Does my child need to be toilet trained to attend your centre?
This is a very common question and the answer is no! As we take infants as young as 6 weeks old, we help our families by assisting in the process of toilet training.
Do you offer transportation to and from school?
Our learning centre offers before and after school care for children up to the age of 12. We provide bussing services that include walking students to their bus stop and waiting with them or driving them to school in our daycare van. All drivers hold a valid Alberta licence and a clean driver’s abstract.
What are Kidz In The Park hours?
Our centre provides service from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
What training does your staff have?
All our staff hold Alberta Child Care Staff Certification at Levels 1, 2, and 3 and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification and police clearance documents.
What are the fees at your centre?
For eligible programs receiving Alberta affordability funding, full-time care (100+ hours per month) is $326.25/month and part-time care (50–99 hours per month) is $230/month. A one-time registration fee of $200 is required to secure your child’s spot. This amount will be applied toward the first month’s fees, and the remaining balance will be due when your child starts attending the program. Drop-in care is $75 per day, must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. Please contact us for availability, program details, and confirmation of applicable fees. Childcare fees and funding eligibility are subject to Alberta government policies.
Will my child nap at daycare?
Each child in our infant, toddler, and preschool programs is provided with an individual cot (or crib) for their rest period of up to two hours in length. They are permitted to sleep, rest, or engage in quiet activities based on their personal needs, while ensuring that sleep patterns at home are not disrupted. The sheets are assigned to a single child and are laundered on a weekly schedule.
Are meals provided at daycare? What kind of food is served?
Kidz in the Park provides morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon snack. We plan our meals based on Canada’s updated Food Guide, and ensure that your children are eating a variety of food groups each and every day.
Is your facility nut-free?
Yes. We do not use nuts in our meal preparation, and also do not allow children to bring snacks containing nuts into our centre.
